April 4, 2021 – Hope Comes Anyhow

April 4, 2021 was our second Easter in the Covid Era, and we are tired. We are getting through this last stage, we pray, of pandemic life. And hope comes, anyhow. The resurrection story of Easter is a story of hope persisting despite all odds, even against the violence of empire, even against the finality of death. Rev. Molly reflected on this ancient story in a sermon titled, “Hope Comes Anyhow.” The service included a ritual of leave-taking for Rev. Molly as she departs for four months of sabbatical.
