Dec. 27, 2015 – Guest Preacher Krista Taves on Finding “Inner Peace”

Sometimes life just vibrates and our minds and hearts vibrate with it. How do you find inner peace, that place of calm and acceptance, when life is pulling you in the other direction? On Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, our guest preacher, the Rev. Krista Taves, explored this issue in her sermon “Inner Peace When Outer Peace Is Hard to Find” (video below).

Rev. Taves grew up in Leamington, Ontario, Canada in a liberal Mennonite family. She discovered Unitarian Universalism when her mother was invited to speak at their local congregation almost 20 years ago. She joined the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto in 1997 and began seminary at the Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto in 1999. Rev. Taves was ordained in 2004 and has served congregations in Ontario, Louisiana, Missouri, and Illinois. She currently serves the Unitarian Church of Quincy, Illinois.
