"Joy Is Not Made to Be a Crumb"
Rev. Dr. Molly Housh Gordon

Join Rev. Molly for her last sermon before sabbatical. Mary Oliver tells us that in the presence of life’s beauty and possibility, we must not hesitate, we must give ourselves over to it. And this month’s worship theme reminds us that survival is not a wasteland. It is a dance party. How can we spend these summer months giving ourselves over to the dance? The worship service will include the induction of new church members.

There will be no potluck. Instead, join us after worship for the Annual Congregational Meeting, where refreshments will be served.

April 19 Sermon Video

In her sermon "From Destruction, Creation" on April 19, 2026, Rev. Molly noted that new life is always being born from death and rot. In the shadow of collapsing empire, she said, "Life keeps lifing. It keeps blossoming wildly amid the rubble." She concluded, "Now is the time to cast our lot with all who create and make way for new life. It is ours now, all of ours, to reconstitute the world."
