SAT Contributes to local documentary

The Social Action Team joins with the local Race Onward group and others to provide financial support for the production of the documentary film “History of the African American Church in Columbia.” The film explores the history and enduring legacy of eight local African American churches, all established between 1824 and 1878. Each church’s story is deeply intertwined with the historical and social evolution of Boone County.
