April 2, 2017 – “Rights at Risk”

On the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s “Justice Sunday,” Rev. Molly Housh Gordon spoke about the UUSC’s “Rights at Risk” program that asks us to “join in support of marginalized communities targeted because of who they are: people under particular threat because of religion, race, and immigrant or refugee status.”

She explored how spiritual growth never comes without discomfort and asked the congregation to consider its own capacity for risk as a vote approaches on April 9, 2017 on whether to declare our church a “sanctuary congregation.”
