Planned Giving Group plans estate planning program at Forum Feb. 2

Join the Planned Giving Work Group at Forum at 9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 for “Estate Planning,” presented by our very own Steve Scott, a local attorney. As suggested by the title, Steve will discuss the elements of estate planning, and the benefits of putting even the most basic and simple estate plan in place. He will answer questions such as:

  • Do I really NEED a will?
  • What is a health care proxy?
  • How often should I review my plans?

Are you considering how you can make a long-lasting impact on our UUCC community? Steve will address how simple it is to include UUCC in your plans by becoming part of the Water Bearers Society, which will help to ensure that our work in this community continues for future generations.

Founders Day Celebration

The UUCC Stewardship Team will be hosting a Founders Day Celebration with wine and chocolate from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 in the Greeting Area and Sanctuary at church. Musical entertainment will be provided by Standard Deviation. Come and join in the festivities and celebrate the history of our community.

Water Bearers Society

Making a legacy donation to UUCC through the Water Bearers Society offers great rewards for the church, the community and you.

Your donation isn’t just a fleeting act but a long-term commitment to growth and transformation that helps the church flourish and our congregation thrive. Much like planting a tree and watching it grow, your generosity expands the church’s support for new programs and services for those in need. Over time, you will witness positive changes in individuals and families, see renewed faith in the people around you, and experience a stronger bond in the community through your generosity. Legacy giving also provides assurance that your spirit lives on through the gift you have bestowed upon the church in your last will and testament.

Your donation is an investment in the future for our community. It is a testament to the enduring power of charitable giving and the strength of a united congregation. Your compassion and care ensure the church (like a tree), stands tall and strong for generations to come while providing a legacy of hope, faith and love. Please contact the Water Bearers Society and consider an offering in your estate or in your future financial planning. For further information or to learn how to share your intent to make a legacy gift, please visit the Planned Giving page.

Thank you for your consideration.
