Young UUs is our 7th-8th grade Religious Education class (9th graders are welcome to join as well if they would like to participate in this year’s curriculum).  Young UUs will be spending this year learning about other religious communities here in Columbia, and in so doing, learning about what it means as UUs to practice radical welcome and deep connection.  YUUTs will spend one Sunday learning some background on a religion, then will spend the next Sunday attending a worship service for that religion (in some cases the visit will be on a day other than Sunday, depending on when they hold their religious services. Sunday visits to other congregations will require volunteers to arrive earlier to have time for transportation), and a third Sunday discussing their experience of the visit. Volunteers must be background checked, and for those who will be transporting youth, proof of insurance and driver’s license.
