On Aug. 3, 2025, lay leader Anna McAnnally's sermon topic was “Owing, Holding and Hoping.” Rejecting the common idea that we do not owe anyone anything, she advocated caring for all as the path to a better future. "This is what it means to live in community – to show up, no questions asked, the moment that someone encounters hurt."
