Our sanctuary was filled almost to overflowing on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, as we gathered for our beloved Annual Ingathering and Water Ceremony. During the service, our new Intern Minister, Alexis Engelbrecht-Villafane, was introduced.

  • The UU Sanctuary Choir sang the Anthem, "Eel River Song" by Meredith Buck.
  • Congregants stood to sing the first hymn, "Peace Like a River."
  • DRE Jamila Batchelder, center, read a story, "A Thousand Pails of Water" by Ronald Roy.
  • Rev. Molly introduced the "Gathering of Waters."
  • Congregants poured water into the communal vessel.
  • Congregants came forward for the Stones of Joy and Sorrow.
  • Interim Director of Music Ministry Marques J. Ruff led the UU Sanctuary Choir in "Love Is Love Is Love Is Love," the choral response to the Joys and Sorrows Prayer.
  • Choir members spread out throughout the Sanctuary to sing the conclusion of "Love Is Love Is Love Is Love."
