Thirteen new members officially joined UUCC on Feb. 2, 2025 in an Ingathering Ceremony during the worship service. A 14th new member was unable to attend the ingathering. This was the largest group of new members since 16 people joined in December 2014.

The 13 new members at the ingathering are Donna Brockmiller, Catherine Cooper, Dennis Crouch, Tim Farley, Randi Foraker, Natalie Hanson, Shannon Hensley, Jen Jennings, Mark Price, Ben Schulz, Kat Stone Underwood, Brandon Underwood, and Mairéad Willis. See photos of these 13 new members here.

Also joining but unable to attend the ingathering was Ethan Vizitei.

Our next Newcomers Retreat, open to those who are contemplating membership, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8. Just as we did for our February retreat, we will offer a light meal to our church community at 6 p.m. The Newcomers Retreat offers an opportunity for interested persons to get to know each other and the church through discussion, videos, and songs.

UUCC has welcomed more visitors since the November election, and we are joyful that they have found us. In the spirit of our mission statement, let us all be “greeters.” If you see someone you don’t yet know, please introduce yourselves, ask questions, be welcoming, and include them in your conversations.

Some of our younger attendees may be old enough to stop using their downstairs name tag. So, if your child is in the 5th-8th grade and would like an upstairs name tag, please email the Membership Team with the spelling of their name as well as their preferred pronouns if desired.
