Our annual Founders’ Day Weekend on Jan. 25-26, 2020, honored our forebears, who first met on Jan. 28, 1951 to begin organizing what would become our church.
The weekend started with a well-attended third annual Founders’ Day Services Auction on Saturday evening, Jan. 25. The event was a great success and raised a total of $5,803 for the church’s general operating fund – $4,833 in bids on silent auction items, $660 in ticket sales, $125 in raffle ticket sales and $185 in tips. Many thanks to the Auction Team! Team members included Patty Daus, Scott Denson, Tim Dickerson, Lisa Fritsche, Elaine Martin, Connie Ordway, and Maria Oropallo. See a list of items donated for the auction.
The theme of worship on Sunday, Jan. 26, was “The House that Love Built.” During worship congregants were seated at tables in the sanctuary to encourage stronger connections in small groups.
After worship, the Building Task Force held a session to explain the current status of planning for facilities improvements and receive feedback from congregants. Read more.
