Intern Minister Monica Clark-Robinson, now serving as Sabbatical Minister, will be ordained in our Sanctuary at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16. A reception will follow. he ordination service also will be live-streamed at the usual Sunday worship link. This likely will be the first ordination of a minister at UUCC, according to a review of church records.
In Unitarian Universalism, the sacred right and responsibility of ordaining ministers rests in the body of the congregation. It is a beautiful affirmation of all that congregations and ministers do and create together. The ordination was approved by members at the May 3 Annual Congregational Meeting.
After Monica completes her work as Sabbatical Minister, she will move to Wilmington, Del. where she has been called as the next Settled Minister of the First Unitarian Church.
