Service Sunday Team

Once a month, kids of all ages join together to work on a service project to help our community. A team of adults are needed to support them.

Adams Family Class Sign Ups

Adams Family Class in our 5th-6th grade class (this year we will include our 7-8th graders as well). All classes need a teacher and an aide. All teachers must be trained and complete a background check.

Barton Class Sign Ups

Barton Class in our Kindergarten to 2nd grade class. All classes need a teacher and an aide. All teachers must be trained and complete a background check.

Latimer Class Sign Ups

Latimer Class in our 3rd-4th grade class. All classes need a teacher and an aide. All teachers must be trained and complete a background check.

Potter Class Sign Ups

Potter Class in our Preschool Age Class. All classes need a teacher and an aide. All teachers must be trained and complete a background check.

Service Sunday

Volunteers will support a multi-age group in doing a service project. All volunteers must be background checked.

Young UUs

Young UUs Class is our 7-th grade class. Each class is taught by a teacher and supported by an aide. Volunteers must be background checked. 

Adams Family Class

Adams Family Class is our 5-6th grade class. Each class is taught by a teacher and supported by an aide. Volunteers must be background checked. 

Latimer Class Sign-up

Latimer Class is our 3-4th grade class. Each class is taught by a teacher and supported by an aide. Volunteers must be background checked. 

Barton Class Sign-up

Barton Class is our K-2nd grade class. Each class is taught by a teacher and supported by an aide. Volunteers must be background checked. 

Potter Class Sign-up

Potter Class is our PreK (ages 3-5) class. Each class is taught by a teacher and supported by an aide. Volunteers must be background checked. 

Hospitality Team (Coffee)

Make and clean up coffee and other drinks, greet people, clean up after coffee hour including doing the dishes and taking trash to the dumpster.

Potluck Team

Sign up to set up and clean up for the potluck: put out food, tables and drinks/clean up including loading dishes, washing dishes and taking the trash to the dumpster.

Service Sunday Volunteers

Service Sundays are multi-age classes engaged in a service or justice project. All members of the Service Sunday Team must be background checked.

Potter Class (PreK) Volunteers

Potter Class is our PreK Religious Education class. Children will learn about our church community and how we build warm and loving relationships within it. Each class will have a teacher who leads the lesson and an aide who assists. All teachers must be background checked.

Barton Class (K-2nd grade) Volunteers

Barton Class is our Kindergarten-2nd  grade Religious Education class. This year we will be focusing on our 7th principle, our connection to the Earth and all its inhabitants. Each class will have a teacher who leads the lesson, and an aide who assists. All teachers must be background checked.

Latimer Class (3-5th grade) Volunteers

Latimer Class is our 3th-5th grade Religious Education class. Latimer class will be spending this year learning about the contribution of famous UUs and how their accomplishments were inspired by their UU values. Each class will have a teacher who leads the lesson, and an aide who acts as support. Teachers must be background checked.

Schweitzer Class Sign-Ups

Schweitzer Class is our Class for K-2nd graders. Each class has a teacher who leads the lesson and an aide who assists. All volunteers must be background checked.

Sunday Greeters

Two people are needed as Sunday Greeters. The greeters are expected to: Arrive at least 30 minutes before worship and help the Board Welcomer greet people as they arrive, with particular attention to newcomers. Staff the visitor/guest station and ask newcomers to fill out the visitor form.

Board Welcomers

One Board Welcomer is needed each Sunday. The welcomer is expected to: Greet people as they arrive for worship, with particular attention to newcomers. Give a welcoming message at the beginning of the worship service. A script will be provided. Act as the collection teller.  

Community Building at the Park – K-7th grade Teacher Sign-Up

Assist in supervising several activities, both structured and unstructured, at Shepard Park. After centering and story, children will choose which activity they want to participate in and can move among activities.
